Susan M. Howarth grew up in the Pacific Northwest, where she developed a strong work ethic and resilience as a collegiate athlete. Her commitment to service and teamwork led her to a distinguished career as a Los Angeles County Paramedic and Firefighter, where she served for over 18 years. During that time, she gained deep expertise in emergency response, hazard mitigation, and public safety.

Building on her frontline experience, Susan transitioned into the field of Team Management and Occupational Safety, attaining her B.S. degree in Environmental Science, and eventually working as a Safety Specialist to help organizations identify risks, implement safety programs, and ensure regulatory compliance. Today, she serves as a Certified Environmental Specialist (CES), and a Project Management Professional (PMP) applying her extensive background to Environmental Health and Safety. In this role, she provides training, conducts assessments, develops prevention strategies, and works to create safe, healthy environments for workers and communities, all while pursuing advanced study in Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Industrial Hygiene (CIH) destinations.
